Christian Bale joins David O Russell's "Madden" biopic.

I wrote about how David O Russell is finally starting production on his ‘Madden’ biopic. Oscar winner Nicholas Cage is portraying American football lengend John Madden. Filming is set to begin early next year.

Today (via The InSneider) Another Oscar winner is in talks to join the cast. Christian Bale is set to play former Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis

Amazon MGM is behind “Madden,” which Russell is writing and directing. The original script, written by Cambron Clark, has been part of the Blacklist for a few years now. Russell is said to have “tweaked” the script to his own liking.
