Eddie Redmayne joins Julia Roberts in Sam Esmail's "Panic Carefully".

I wrote an article earlier this week on “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail's new thriller “Panic Carefully”. Deadline is now reporting that Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne is joining the cast. Esmail wrote the script and is directing the pic set at Warner Bros.

Redmayne will join Jessica Chastain and Elizabeth Olsen on the call sheet.

Described as a paranoid thriller in the vein of Esmail’s Emmy and Golden Globe winner Mr. Robot, as well as The Silence of the Lambs, the film’s logline is being kept under wraps.

The package was sent to various studios, and Warner Bros. prevailed in the end of a heated bidding war, in part due to their commitment to a theatrical release.

The film reunited Esmail with Julia Roberts, who worked together on apocalyptic thriller “Leave The World Behind” for Netflix. The film became the streamer’s fifth most watched English-language film with 143.3 million views.
