A24 had announced that they are partnering with Star Thrower Entertainment on David Freyne’s upcoming romantic comedy film “Eternity”. Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller and Callum Turner are set to star. The script was written by Pat Cunnane. A24 will finance and handle the global release. Freyne, Teller and Olsen will executive produce.

In late May, Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers) joined the cast. In June, John Early and Olga Merediz joined the cast. Later, Betty Buckley, Kyle Warren and Danny Mac were added to round up the cast.

Premise: After death, everybody gets one week to choose where to spend eternity. For Joan (Olsen), Larry (Teller) and Luke (Turner), it’s really a question of who to spend it with. Joan must choose between her first love who got away or the man she built her life with.

Pat Cunnane wrote the script for “Eternity”, and it was voted onto The Black List of best unproduced screenplays in 2022. This marks Cunnane’s first major script, who was an aide to President Barack Obama. In March 2024, David Freyne was hired to direct the film for A24.
