Rumour: Leonardo Dicaprio To Star In "Squid Game Season 3".

Here's an interesting report from Korean entertainment website (M.Entertainment.naver). Leonardo Dicaprio is reported to appear in the much anticipated season 3 of Korean Netflix hit show “Squid Games”.

Last year, secret filming for the upcoming season wrapped up with hints that DiCaprio, a noted fan of the show, could be part of the cast.

Despite the speculation, the streaming giant has clarified that there’s no truth to the rumors of his participation.

Dicaprio met with ‘Squid Game’ lead, Lee Jung-jae, at the LACMA Art + Film Gala soon after the series released. Their meeting sparked initial interest when Lee mentioned in a 2022 interview that he would love to see DiCaprio in the series.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk added fuel to the fire at a press conference after the show won six Emmy Awards. He mentioned DiCaprio’s admiration for the series and hinted at a potential invitation for him to join the cast.

Netflix just released season 2 of “Squid Game” and it's already one of most viewed shows for the streamer.

I would take Dicaprio’s caneo reports with a grain of salt until more credible sources confirm the news. This is not the first time Hollywood has taken intrest in Squid Games. If you remember, David Fincher is reported to be very close to filming and English version of the popular show.
