Rumour: Linus Sandgren to replace Greig Fraser as DP on "Dune: Messiah"
There was a online worry in these last months regarding the Oscar winner Greig Fraser’s availability to lense both “Dune: Messiah” and “Batman: Part II”.
Fraser is one of the best cinematographer in the game right now. And both these tentpole movies need him. But the problem is, it looks like both films are starting production at the same time or near to each other.
There was also reports earlier today saying “The Batman: Part II” is starting production mid-May next year, despite Matt Reeves not yet submitting the full script to studio bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran. But word is that Reeves has finally cracked it, and the audience are “gonna loose their mind” watching the sequel.
Fraser’s replacement on “Dune: Messiah” will be Oscar winning DP Linus Sandgren whose most notable work can be seen in “La La Land”, “Saltburn,” “Babylon,” and “No Time to Die.” Sandgren recently lensed Noah Baumbach’s “Jay Kelly” which is set for release later next year.
