David Cronenberg potentially working on a new film; "Consumed"
Cronenberg is coming off of “The Shrouds”, which premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival. The film finally got a U.S distribution, courtesy of Janus Films and Sideshow. They plan to release the film in mid-2025
In a new interview, at the Marrakech Film Festival, Cronenberg says he’s not retired, and plans on making another film, potentially based on his own 2014 novel “Consumed.”
“I’ve written a novel, it’s called “Consumed,” and there’s a producer who thinks I should make a movie based on my own novel, and I think he may be right. So, I’m going to start writing the script, and if it works then that could be my next movie.”

I think one of my favourite Cronenberg film is the original “Crimes of the Future”. That movie struck me with something I couldn't describe. I'm excited to see what he ends up doing.
