Leos Carax’s Next Film, Starring Adam Driver and Lea Seydoux prepping for shoot in 2025.
French filmmaker Leo Carax is coming off of “C’est Pas Moi”, his docu-fiction feature which is described as an “essay piece” that premiered out of competition at Cannes Film Festival.
There were reports in May, that his next project will begin filming soon and will star Adam Driver and Lea Seydoux. That was the last update we got regarding the project, until now.
French producer Charles Gillibert (who produced Carax’s “C’est Pas Moi” and “Annette”) in a recent interview with Cahiers du Cinema, confirmed that the next one will be more expensive than “Annette” (which cost $16 million, and also starred Driver). Given that the budget is being amassed, a 2025 shoot is being planned for the film.
Carax is coming off of his 2021 Cannes-winning “Annette”. He has only directed six films in his career. “Boy Meets Girl” (1984), “Mauvais Sang” (1986), “Lovers On The Bridge” (1991), “Pola X” (1999), “Holy Motors” (2012) and 2021’s “Annette”.
