Anne Hathaway and Zendaya join Christopher Nolan’s next film.

Christopher Nolan isn’t done adding some serious star power to his next film at Universal (similar to the casting on Oppenheimer). Deadline reports that Anne Hathaway and Zendaya are set to star in Nolan’s next event film. They would join the previously announced Matt Damon and Tom Holland.

The film has an IMAX release date of July 17, 2026. the date falls in line with a number of Nolan’s films that have had similar release dates in the past. The movie is expected to shoot in early 2025. No word yet on who the actual lead of the film is, or weather it might just be an ensemble piece.

Deadline also stated that all the plot rumors about the film that have been published are false, and the details are being kept under wraps.

A quick recap about the rumors regarding the plot: Gizmodo was saying that Nolan’s next one is a 1920’s set vampire movie. Variety reported that it might actually a spy movie. The Hollywood Reporter heard their sources say it’s a “father-son” story. Meanwhile, a Reddit rumor suggested that it might be an action movie influenced by 1983’s “Blue Thunder”.

Top-tier talent always runs at the opportunity to join a Nolan film. This would mark Zendaya and Tom Holland’s first pic for the Oscar-winning filmmaker and the third for Hathaway, who appeared in 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises” and 2014’s “Interstellar”. Same for Matt Damon, who appeared briefly in “Interstellar” and also starred in “Oppenheimer”.
