Joseph Quinn is very in demand right now. He just recently premiered Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator II” and will be seen next in Marvel’s “Fantastic Four: First Steps”. Quinn is best known for playing Eddie in “Stranger Things”.
There are now reports online that suggest Quinn is in talks to play George Harrison in one of Sam Mendes’ four ‘Beatles’ films. The George Harrison movie will be scripted by Peter Straughan (“Conclave”). There will be different screenwriters for each of the four Beatles members’ biopic's, in what is described as a “Rashoman-style” set of films. Different perspectives of the same events.
One other writer who is definitely writing one of the biopic is Krysty Wilson-Cairns (“1917”).
This will be a part of Sony and Oscar-winning filmmaker Sam Mendes’ ambitious plans to make four separate theatrical films, one on each of the four Beatles members. Other casting rumors include; Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney) and Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr).
Mendes had stated that he was going to be busy making these four Beatles movies until “mid-2028”. He’s also mentioned how all four films might get released theatrically on the same day. which would save Sony a lot in marketing costs. Production List recently had a listing that set up a July 2025 shoot in London.
